I was born and raised in Lafayette, LA.  I received my first instrument, a guitar, at the age of 12 for a Christmas present and have been loving and playing music ever since. In my early 30’s my wife and I bought the kids a Casio keyboard and I began playing with Headphones and after wearing 3 of those out, purchased myself a commercial grade keyboard and have been playing keyboards ever since.  Bands that have inspired me along the way include ZZ Top, Skynyrd, Deep Purple, Doobie Brothers, Floyd Cramer, and many more.  I started playing guitar with local bands at the age of 18, playing many varieties of music.  Some of the bands that I’ve played with are Joe Douglas, J & the BadCats, The Tramps, Danny Leal, Geno’s Boogie N Brass, Darren Delatte & Doubleshot.  I was introduced to Melanie in early 2008 when I was asked to go and perform with them due to a keyboard player not being available.  I went not knowing what was in store, and low and behold my music roots were what this group was all about.  This is one of the only groups that I’ve ever played with where we are all on the same page and enjoy what we are doing.  It’s not said very often that one can find a band that you’ve played with for 3 months before even having a rehearsal and everything clicks like we’ve been playing for years together. This group is like family and with Melanie as a leader, she’ll make the sure the playing is fun and fans that are there will be sure to have a goodtime.  I’m proud to be part of Spellbound and am looking forward to many years with this group.
