I have always had a love for music in my heart and soul.  I have been playing the accordion since I was 9 years old and the percussions since I was old enough to hold a pair of sticks in my little hands.  I come from a long line of musicians – my father (the late Preston J. Breaux from Crowley) a lead guitarist; and his grandfather (the late Amedee Breaux) an accordionist.  Amedee Breaux composed and recorded the song “Jolie Blonde.”    There was always music at home and at family gatherings because almost everyone played some type of instrument.  My grandfather, who was one of my greatest influences, taught me that music is an art and a talent that brings people together in a happy way.  Another inspiration to me was my Aunt Cleoma (Amedee’s sister) and Uncle Joe Falcon who recorded the Cajun song “Allons A Lafayette” in 1928.  My late uncle, Shine Mouton, made my first accordion.  In 1989 I won The Times of Acadiana newspaper award for Best Drummer!  In 1992 I received the Best CD Award in the category of Cajun music, along with my brother Jimmy Breaux, for the recording “Un Tit Peu:Us Cajun, which was presented by the Cajun French Awards Association.  I have also recorded many styles of music such as swamp pop, classic disco, cajun, and rock & roll with many musical artists.  I have played and recorded with Johnnie Alan and the Memories, Ed Gary & the Louisiana Cajuns Band, Joe Douglas & the Bayou Cajuns, PeeWee Whitewing, & the Heart of Acadiana Band.
